We are happy to invite you to the 4th edition of POLE DANCE SHOW competitions, which will be held on 13-14 April 2019 at Targi Kielce. The mission of the competitions is to present a unique show on the stage with the use of vertical poles. Creativity and artistic side of the performance/show is what matters.

Stage test will take place in the Targi Kielce hall. The order of competitors during the stage test will be the same as during the final performances. Every competitor has 5 minutes to test the dance floor, failure to appear at a specified time results in the lack of the possibility to test the stage.

POLE DANCE SHOW 2019 RULES
1. The Organizer of POLE DANCE SHOW 2019 (hereinafter referred to as the competition) are Targi Kielce in co-operation with the MY WAY POLE DANCE STUDIO dance school.
2. The competition will take place between April 13 and 14, 2019 in the Centrum Kongresowe Targów Kielce (Targi Kielce Congress Center), ul. Zakładowa 1, 25-672 Kielce.

April 13 (Saturday) – POLE DANCE SHOW (kids, juniors, women amateur, women semi-pro, women professional)
April 14 (Sunday) – POLE DANCE SHOW (women 35+, duets, men, exotic amateur, exotic professional)

3. Mission

The competition's mission is to put out an unique stage show using vertical poles. Creativity and the artistic side of the spectacle/show are the most important aspects.

4. The competition will include the following categories:

WOMEN SOLO professionals

  • this category is intended for women aged 18 and above, who are professional pole dancers (a minimum of 2 years of work as an instructor);

  • who train pole dance for more than 5 years;

  • who have participated/won a place on the podium in other national or international pole dance competitions professionals/elite/star category;

WOMEN SOLO semi-pro

  • this category is intended for women aged 18 and above, who are professional pole dancers, for no longer than 2 years;

  • who train pole dance for 2-5 years;

  • who have participated in pole dance competition in semi-pro category, but have not won 1st-3rd place in amateur category.

WOMEN SOLO amateurs

  • This category is intended for women aged 18 and above, who are not a pole dance instructor;

  • who have not won 1st-3rd place in pole dance competition in amateur, semi-pro, professionals category;

  • who train pole dance for less than two years;

  • no handspring deadlifts, flips, muscle up.

MEN SOLO. This category is intended for men aged 18 and above;

DUETS . This category is intended for duets and groups;

JUNIORS. This category is intended for teenagers aged between 12 and 17;

KIDS. This category is intended for kids aged between 8 and 12;

EXOTIC AMATEURS. A category intended for people aged 18 and above, who have never participated in any competitions in exotic solo category or have never won 1st-3rd place in exotic category. Pole dance instructors or people who have been training pole dance for more than 5 years cannot participate in this category. Participants wear "glass" heel shoes;

EXOTIC PROFESSIONALS. A category intended for people aged 18 and above, who have won 1st-3rd place in exotic category or who are pole dance instructors or have been training pole dance for more than 5 years. Participants wear "glass" heel shoes;

WOMEN 35+ .The category is intended for women who, at the day of competitions, are at the age of 35;

5. Submissions

To participate in the competition you must fill in an application, which can be found at the following website: http://mywaypds.pl/application-zgloszenie/ .The application video must not be a montage of clips. The duration of the video must not exceed 2:30 minutes.

The deadline for submissions is 06.01.2019. The number of 5-10 people from each category will be qualified for the finals. The finalists will be selected by the competition committee (jury) consisting of 3 people and announced by 20.01.2019 at the latest.

Payment for participants:

50 PLN (10 EUR) – every person sending a submission (for individual categories). Failure to make the payment is tantamount to exclusion of a given candidate
80 PLN (20 EUR) – every duet sending a submission
100 PLN (25 EUR)– every person who is qualified for the finals (fee includes a ticket for 2 days of the FIT WEEKEND fairs). Payment up to 7 days after the finalists are announced.

150 PLN (35 EUR) – every duet which is qualified for the finals (fee includes a ticket for 2 days of the FIT WEEKEND fairs). Payment up to 7 days after the finalists are announced.

The payment is non-returnable. In case of the participant’s resignation from participation in thecompetition the payment shall not be refunded and the participant shall not receive a ticket. A participant who resigns from participation later than 3 weeks before the date of the competition cannot participate in next edition of the competitions. Except for a participant who will provide a medical certificate confirming inability to participate.

6. Awards

The first three places in each category will receive diplomas, medals and material prizes founded by the sponsors.

7. The scene and the poles

The scene will have 2 poles (static and rotating) with a diameter of 42mm-45mm, at a distance of 3m from each other and a height of 4m. From the participant's perspective, the rotating pole will be located on the left. In case of groups and duets there is a possibility of selection of two static or two rotating poles (after previous notification by e-mail).

8. The Participants

On the day of the competition the participant must be 18 years of age (this does not pertain to the Junior and Kids category), have personal accident insurance, read the rules of the competition and have a valid identity document. It is forbidden to consume alcohol or narcotics on the day of the competition.

10. Music

The length of the participant's presentation cannot exceed 3 min 30 sec. (solo performances) and 4 min. in the case of duets. Music with a vulgar language, unethical, racist etc. content is forbidden. The same piece of music may not be used by more than one participant. The selected piece of music can be used by the participant who sent his submission first. Music should be uploaded to ScoreApp in the format of mp3 file by 31.03.2019 at the latest. 

How to do that?

1. Log in to ScoreApp system.

2. Enter the tab "Your account" --> "Dancer zone" --> Pole Dance Show

3. In the table you can find a field where you can enter your music (MP3 file column)

4. Save the music file by clicking "v" button (save)

Our system verifies the length of a song. Each file exceeding the length specified in the Rules will be rejected. We accept only files in MP3 format with a maximum size of 6MB. We recommend you to upload file using your computer (using smartphone is uncomfortable).

11. Costume

The costume is left to the participant's discretion. It is, however, forbidden to perform topless, in erotic lingerie, in a costume exposing intimate parts. Permitted footwear: ballet shoes, gym shoes, dance shoes and high heels. The footwear may not pose a threat to the audience/jury/other participants. Permitted accessories: gloves, knee and ankle protectors. All accessories used for the choreography should be previously reported, and their installation/removal should not take longer than 3 min. Tattoos and make-up are permitted, but these should not soil the scene, poles and the other participants. All accessories should not hamper the performance. The use of magnesia, dry hands, mighty grip etc. is allowed onlywhen applied on the participant’s body. Balsams, itac, body lotions are forbidden.

12. Disqualification

A participant may be disqualified for not applying to the rules or the organizer's recommendations.

13. Authorization for reproduction of physical likeness

Making a submission to Pole Dance Show 2019 is tantamount to a lasting and unconditionally free of charge authorization for photographic, video and television recording of all the presentations and their use, publication and transmission in any media.

14. Participation in Pole Dance Show 2019 is tantamount to accepting these rules.
